Lead paint help in Baltimore, connected to local lead pros
Peeling paint, a rental inspection, or a worry about lead in your water? Tell us what is going on and we will connect you with local lead pros who work in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Why lead matters in older Baltimore homes
Lead-based paint was banned for housing in 1978, and a large share of Baltimore City and Baltimore County housing was built before then. Lead is most often a problem when old paint chips, peels or turns to dust, or when work on an older home stirs that dust up. Lead can also reach tap water through older plumbing. Children and pregnant women are the people health agencies worry about most.
Maryland takes this seriously. The Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) accredits the people and firms who do certain kinds of lead work, and the state has rules for older rental housing. That is why the most useful thing you can do is ask any pro for their MDE accreditation and verify it with MDE.
We are a referral service. We do not do lead work and we are not certified for it. You tell us what you need, and we connect you with local lead pros who do.
